Lincoln Ethics Teaching Fellows Application for Spring 2013

This program is designed for ASU faculty members to develop or revise and deliver undergraduate courses that incorporate the ethical dimensions and issues of the topics or subjects in their fields.  The courses must be central to the discipline and regularly scheduled offerings for majors.  New courses will be considered if the appropriate departments approve them and will regularly schedule them.  These courses will be taken by undergraduate majors throughout the university.  An integral aspect of an ASU undergraduate education will be the responsible, ethical use of the knowledge and power that study in a discipline or field imparts.

Selected Lincoln Ethics Teaching Fellows will receive a $4,000 stipend upon completion and scheduling of the revised course. (The Lincoln Center is not responsible for any associated ERE or ASC. The stipend is paid as supplemental pay by the home department and includes the usual tax, insurance, and 8.5% deductions.)

Directions:  Compete this form and include all necessary attachments.  Incomplete application packets will not be considered.  Return the application packet to the Lincoln Center for Applied Ethics, Discovery Hall 213, or by email to zgoldber@asu.edu, no later than December 1, 2012.  Selected Lincoln Ethics Teaching Fellows will be notified no later than December 15, 2012. The workshops will be held in the Spring semester 2013.
